Glenn Stevens, who is Professor of Mathematics at Boston University, has directed the PROMYS program since the beginning of the program in 1989. His research specialties include Number Theory, Arithmetic Geometry, and Automorphic Respresentation Theory.
Steve Rosenberg, who is Professor of Mathematics at Boston University, is currently chair of the Boston University Mathematics Department. His research specialties include Differential Geometry and Topology. He has worked in PROMYS every summer since 1991.
Dr. Ava Berinstein is the Development & Fundraising Coordinator for the PROMYS program. She has a Ph.D. in Linguistics from U.C.L.A. and has spent the last five years working as an independent Business and Internet Consultant for technology companies.
Dr. Cleve Moler chaired the computer science department at the University of New Mexico and later cofounded the MathWorks, Inc. where he is currently Chairman and Chief Scientific Officer.
Herb Clemens, who is Professor of Mathematics at the University of Utah in Park City, is Director of the Park City Mathematics Institute.
Margy Baruch teaches mathematics and computer science and received her Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She has worked in PROMYS every summer since its inception in 1989.
Dr. Al Cuoco has over 20 years of experience working in the field of high school mathematics education and received his Ph.D. in mathematics from Brandeis University. Dr. Cuoco directs the Center for Mathematics Education at the Education Development Center in Newton. He has worked in PROMYS many times since 1991 and has co-directed PROMYS for TEACHERS since 1999.
Arthur Jaffe, who is a Professor of Mathematics and Physics at Harvard University, is President of the Clay Mathematical Institute. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and former President of the American Mathematical Society.
Professor Carol Findell has over thirty years experience as a mathematics educator at all levels, from pre-school through university. She is Clinical Associate Professor and Program Coordinator of Mathematics Education at the Boston University School of Education. She is an editor of the Journal of Education for Boston University, as well as two volumes on Mathematics Education and Reform in Mathematics Education. She has also written curriculum materials for elementary, middle and high school, as well as college mathematics courses.
David Fried, who is Professor of Mathematics at Boston University, co-founded PROMYS in 1989 and has worked in the program every summer since that time. His research specialties include Dynamical Systems, Differential Geometry and Topology.
